Renewable Energy

In addition to delivering hydrocarbon energy resources across North America, Enbridge is invested in renewable energy sources - those that occur naturally and are continually replenished.

Our portfolio of renewable energy projects is diversified and growing. Across North America, our green energy portfolio includes eight wind farms, four solar energy facilities and a geothermal project, together providing almost 1,200 megawatts (MW) of green power capacity. Plus, we have a
power transmission project underway that will allow the movement of 300 MW of power between Alberta and Montana.

One of our wind farms, solar energy facilities and the geothermal project are located in the United States. Cedar Point is a wind farm located in eastern Colorado, and Silver State North is a solar energy facility in Clark County, Nevada. The Neal Hot Springs Geothermal Project is currently under construction in eastern Oregon. Together these projects create enough energy to power more than 100,000 homes.
