Renewable Energy & Power Transmission

Renewable Energy

In addition to delivering hydrocarbon energy resources across North America, Enbridge is invested in renewable and power transmission energy sources.

Our portfolio of renewable and power transmission energy projects is diversified and growing. Across North America, our green energy portfolio includes 12 wind farms, four solar energy facilities and a geothermal facility, together providing almost 1,700 megawatts (MW) of green power capacity and creating enough energy to power more than 570,000 homes. We also have a power transmission line that allows the movement of 300 MW of power between Alberta and Montana.

One of our wind farms, solar energy facilities and a geothermal facility are located in the United States. Cedar Point is a wind farm located in eastern Colorado, Silver State North is a solar energy facility in Clark County, Nevada, Neal Hot Springs is a geothermal facility located in eastern Oregon, and our Montana-Alberta Tie-Line is located 133 miles south of the U.S.-Canada border and connects to a terminate at NorthWestern Energy's Great Falls substation, just north of Great Falls, Mont.
